Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

NXC International ("NXC", "we", "us" or "our") is a Montreal-based consulting firm specializing in cloud computing and cybersecurity. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through nxci.ca, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights available to you.

We are committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Quebec's Law 25, and, where it applies to you, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

01Information we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to provide or that is necessary to operate our website. Specifically:

  • Information you submit through our forms. When you request a consultation or contact us, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, company name, company size, country, and the details of the message or request you send us.
  • Communications. If you email or call us, we keep a record of that correspondence so we can respond and follow up.
  • Technical & usage data. Like most websites, we automatically receive limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring pages, and how you interact with our site. This is collected through cookies and analytics tools (see sections 04 and 05).

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we ask that you not submit any through our forms.

02How we use your information

We use the personal information we collect to:

  • respond to your consultation requests, questions, and other enquiries;
  • provide, operate, and improve our services and website;
  • communicate with you about your request and, where permitted, about relevant services;
  • protect our website against spam, fraud, and abuse;
  • understand how our website is used so we can improve it; and
  • comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

04Cookies & analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site function, to remember your preferences, and to measure how the site is used. We may use analytics services (such as Google Analytics) that set cookies and collect aggregated, mostly de-identified usage statistics on our behalf.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the website work. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

05reCAPTCHA

To protect our forms against spam and automated abuse, we use Google reCAPTCHA. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and sends it to Google for analysis. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

06Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. With trusted vendors who process data on our behalf (for example, email delivery, hosting, and analytics providers), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Legal requirements. When we are required to disclose information to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honour this Policy.

07Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, to respond to your request, and to comply with our legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

08How we protect your data

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to address security incidents responsibly and promptly.

09Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of your information;
  • withdraw consent to processing;
  • object to or request restriction of certain processing; and
  • request a portable copy of the information you provided to us.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. If you are in Quebec, you may also contact our Privacy Officer regarding any concern, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or, federally, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are in the EU/UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

10International transfers

We operate as a global team and may process information in countries other than where you reside, including outside Canada and the European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.

11Children's privacy

Our website is intended for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
